Davidoff originated as a luxury tobacco company in the 1930s, after Zino Davidoff took control of his parent’s tobacco shop. The business became particularly successful during the Second World War after a neutral Switzerland attracted many wealthy tobacco customers. Davidoff then took an unusual change from tobacco by moving into fragrances. The now famous Cool Water is one of their best selling fragrances since its launch in 1988.
